Denise just recently joined the Ryan lab, she has been a Research Associate in the Department of Anatomy and Cell Biology for the past four years and was a Research Specialist at the College of Dentistry where she worked for almost 15 years.  In both positions she maintained epithelial cell lines as well as designed, prepared, and analyzed molecular and cell biology experiments.  She will be expanding her expertise in pluripotent stem cell generation and expansion in the Ryan lab.

Denise grew up in Iowa and graduated from Luther College.  While at Luther she played soccer, and she still continues to play soccer on a coed league.  Outside of the lab most of Denise's time is spent with her family.
